At this time, Dean only provides seminars for the Los Angeles seminar dates as listed here. If you are interested in a future seminar that you do not see above, please provide your name and email address to receive email correspondence about those seminars.

In order to maximize the benefit of Dean's seminar, Dean recommends that you study all test preparation materials thoroughly. Please go to the CAB website, http://www.cab.ca.gov/ for suggested study materials. The best guide to prepare for the oral examination is The California Supplemental Examination Candidate Brochure http://www.cab.ca.gov/pdf/publications/candidate_brochure.pdf published by the California Architects Board.

The format of both seminar days is as follows. Students will have twenty minutes to review all test materials. Dean then acts as the panel of jurors and utilizes a question and answer format. During the review of all the questions and answers, students can ask questions. In addition, after the seminar is finished, a final question and answer session takes place.

The two-day format of Dean's seminar allows students to optimize their test preparations. During the first seminar, you can gauge the level of your preparation and test-taking ability. Dean will help students analyze their areas of weakness and prioritize and focus on the study materials. After the first seminar, you will have time to hone in on your problem areas. On the second day of the seminar, Dean will help each student further understand test-taking methods and gauge where students need to focus their studies.
